Public Transport

DIRECTIONS FROM THE HOTEL STAFF

Choose from a range of excellent air, road and rail options to get to the hotel, as Hilton Amsterdam is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport, and 20 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station.

Travelling to Hilton Amsterdam by car? The secure and private hotel car park has 100 self-parking spaces and is run strictly on a first come, first served basis. Parking costs are EUR35 per day.

Arriving by bus

Bus 397 (Amsterdam Airport Express) provides a quick and easy transfer from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Hilton Amsterdam, departing every 7,5 minutes from bus platforms B15-19. We recommend you to take this bus and commute for about 27 minutes and exit on the Emmastraat. The Emmastraat is only a short walk to our hotel.

Buy an e-ticket at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport or on the airport’s website.

Arriving by air

Taxis are available outside the Arrivals Terminal for a quick 20-minute drive to the hotel. It is also possible to travel to Hilton Amsterdam by train in only 30 minutes of total travel time.

When planning to do so, we recommend taking the train to Amsterdam Zuid.

There you can transfer to Tram 5 (towards Central Station) and exit at Gerrit van der Veenstraat. From there, it is a short walk to the hotel. Walking directions can be found below.

Arriving by train – Amsterdam Central Station

When arriving at Amsterdam Central Station, we recommend taking Tramline 5, towards Amstelveen Binnenhof or Line 24 towards VU Medisch Centrum, and exit on Gerrit van der Veenstraat.

Another option is Tramline 2 towards Nieuw Sloten, where you can exit at Cornelis Schuytstraat.

All walking directions from the tram stops to the hotel are explained below.

Exploring the city

Hilton Amsterdam offers the ideal location to explore all the best sites Amsterdam has to offer.

Enjoy a short stroll to nearby sites, hire a bike from our Concierge, or take a quick tram ride to gain quick and easy access into the lively city center.

When travelling by tram, we recommend taking Tramline 5 towards Central Station from Gerrit van der Veenstraat, or Tramline 2 towards Central Station from Cornelis Schuytstraat.

If travelling from Central Station on Tramline 5, walk in the opposite direction from the tram, then left at the big intersection and 4th right.

Walking directions:

Walking directions from Gerrit van der Veenstraat to Hilton Amsterdam (Tramline 5) (6 minutes)

From Gerrit van der Veenstraat, walk in direction of the tram, and take the first left on the big intersection. Take the fourth street to your right towards Minervalaan. Keep walking in this direction, and you should be able to see Hilton Amsterdam from there.

Walking directions from Cornelis Schuytstraat to Hilton Amsterdam (Tramline 2) (8 minutes)

From Cornelis Schuytstraat, cross the road to the main street. On the right hand side you will have the Gresham Memphis Hotel. Keep walking straight on and cross the bridge, following the Breitnerstraat. After crossing the bridge you will see Hilton Amsterdam on your right hand side at the crossing of the Apollolaan and Minervalaan.
